A sports fight song is like the musical equivalent of a protein shake: it’s designed to pump you up and get you ready to tackle anything, even if that "anything" is just sitting in the stands and screaming at a referee's bad call whilst drinking an 'Arn City (no, we're not referring to that terrible call on TJ Watt...but we may as well be).
At their best, good sports fight songs are musical battle cries and rallying forces.
But a Pittsburgh sports fight song is all that and so much more. At least this new one from our boy Magic Tray Day is. What's *not* to like? It's done power ballad-style. He's sporting a damn Donzi's T-shirt (kids, ask your parents or bachelor uncle about that former Pittsburgh hot spot if you've never heard of it) and what we can only assume are pleather pants.
And that mullet, though.
